Sapkowski i jego wiedźmin Gerald po angielsku - Last Wish czyli Ostatnie Życzenie

Sapkowski w języku angielskim to chyba najlepszy prezent dla każdego nie-Polaka, którego chcemy zapoznać z polską kulturą. Nie ma lepszego ambasadora naszej współczesnej literatury niż Gerald i jego kobiety Ciri i Yennefer. Last Wish (czyli Ostatnie życzenie) przeczytali już wszyscy moi znajomi z Anglii i Irlandii i jednym głosem twierdzą, że książka jest super. Co nie jest zaskoczeniem - oczywiście, że każda książka Sapkowskiego jest fantastyczna. Znaczy to jedno - tłumaczenie Danusi Stok jest dobre i niczego nie odbiera lekturze. I o to chodzi.

Last wish - Ostatnie życzenie

„Last wish”, czyli „Ostatnie życzenie” jest to świetny zbiór opowiadań z gatunku fantasy, autorstwa oczywiście mistrza tego gatunku - Andrzeja Sapkowskiego. Fani tego powieściopisarza zapewne orientują się, iż „Ostatnie życzenie” jest wstępem do cyklu o wiedźminie Geralcie. Bardzo podoba mi się to jak Andrzej Sapkowski stworzył powieść tak zwaną „szkatułkową”. Uważam, że świetnie zostało skonstruowane opowiadanie przewodnie pt. „Głos rozsądku”, które stanowi jednocześnie jedną całość z innymi opowiadaniami, które wzajemnie się przeplatają, a jednocześnie uzupełniają i wyjaśniają wiele rzeczy. Dzięki temu historia wiedźmina Geralta z Ravii jest ciekawsza i jeszcze bardziej wciągająca. Dla osób, które przez moją recenzję zainteresowaly się książeczką podaję wszystkie tytuły w odpowiedniej oczywiście kolejności: „Głos rozsądku”, „Wiedźmin”, „Ziarno prawdy”, „Mniejsze zło”, „Kwestia ceny”, „Kraniec świata”, „Ostatnie życzenie”.
