Władca Pierścieni: Dwie wieże

Podstawowym wątkiem jest wyprawa drużyny do Mordoru i zdrada Sarumana. W powieści, Frodo Baggins i Sam Gamgee, są prowadzeni do Mordoru przez Golluma. Aragorn, Legolas i Gimli szukają Pippina i Merry'ego, którzy zostali uprowadzeni przez Uruk-hai. W tej części Drużyna Pierścienia rozstaje się, a Sam i Frodo w tajemnicy idą do Mordoru prowadzeni przez Golluma. Na szczęście unikają oni zasadzki Golluma i straszliwej Szeloby.
